Equus. And trains.
Wednesday, 17 September 2008 19:42So, I'll start with Equus since it was the most recent thing.
bad_influence was kind enough to use some of her prize money to treat both of us to on stage seats for Equus. Absolutely amazing. The choreography was absolutely breathtaking and incredible - in terms of the 'horses' dancing and the stage direction for the actors. It was a huge mindfuck, moreso than when I saw it at smith. All of the actors were strong and amazing. Plus, the onstage (actually above stage) seating lets you be so close it's eerie. Radcliffe can actually act. After the end of the first act,
bad_influence and I were longing for Will Kemp. However, the second act was simply phenomenal and artistically beautiful.
there was a star trek:voyager squee thingy that I'll let
bad_influence write about.
Btw, i love taking the train. More room, pretty vistas, less stress, no stupid homeland security crap and a general laid back nice vibe. If only trains were as prolific and speedy and on time as they are in Europe (particularly Germany).
It's kinda awesome to have official prize money and such. well, that
bad_influence does.
Mind is still reeling and over analyzing Equus and all the religious and psychological implications. So much to take in. Of course, due to one scene, we've determined Radcliffe can have a career in porn.
