will wonders never cease

Overslept my alarm by two hours, rushed through packing and to the airport. Amazingly I made it to the gate to find out the flight was delayed because of the crew. No harm no foul. Board the plane to find out there's a ground stop at o'hare. Which means we sit on the planefor nearly an hour before taking off. Holding pattern near Michigan for twenty minutes before we get the go ahead to land at o'hare. There's the rub- the airport is flooded. The highway to the airport is closed. The train out of the airport is closed. I walked through anding water to try and get to the train. There are hundreds of plastic lined tubs to catch water leaking through the roof.
I am just amused and shocked by it all.
