week in review
Friday, 12 September 2008 23:12Today is one of those days where I was just running around in big city exec mode. Lots to do and trying to stick to a crazy schedule. But, got everything done. The house is spotless apart from the bedrooms (which will be dealt with soon enough) and
bad_influence deserves a medal for keeping my head on straight and not shooting me in my insanity. ;)
There were about 15 people at the height of the party, which I think is about as much as can comfortably mingle in the kitchen and living room. It was good, and I like chilling at the beginning with the smaller group. Things ended early and we now have more beer than we'll ever drink and lots of soda and food. Luckily, I didn't cook, or else we'd have way too much.
Things ended earlier than I had expected, which is actually pretty good, considering it gives me time to defrag, figure out how to put away all the food, pack and get some sleep before getting on a plane tomorrow.
But I have more HDS friends now. YAY!
And I have two interviews for possibly field ed sights next week! And then a trip to NYC for the MLP gala! Life is a little crazy but good.
Oh, and my new advisor - actually was helpful at advising me. He's the UU guy, but I just feel like he's personally very helpful and all, even if he is new.
I think it's going to be a good year.
