I like rping, I like crafting stories and pretending to be someone else for awhile. But lately after watching one game after another fall apart and others come into being, I wonder if I'm outgrowing online rpgs. I can do without the politics and the drama of it. There's people I certainly miss rping with, but it's a small rp world and at times it holds a lot of drama. And I don't always have the ability to take a step back and just be very amused by all the contradictions and politics within it. (although, recently I do). So I think with the exception of [livejournal.com profile] invicem which needs to be properly played to the end, I might try to keep to one on one rp interactions just for kicks and stuff. Becuase I don't want my schedule dominated by an online game. And really, the chance of failure that comes with throwing dice on a table and sitting around with people in person seems a bit more worthwhile personally.

I've made lots of great friends through online rpgs, but I also became addicted to a lot of my games, and I don't think addictions are healthy. So, maybe I'm just trying to wean myself off of them. I don't know.
