Author: Roger Zelazny
Pages: 192
Date Finished: 10.VI.2008
Thoughts: There were some interesting plot twists in this one. Hard to remember since I've read two more since then.
25. Title: The Hand of Oberon
Author: Roger Zelazny
Pages: 188
Date Finished: 12.VI.2008
Thoughts: This one seemed to me to be the recap book - like the episode in the anime series where they recap everything so that you don't have to watch the first half of the series. The book wasn't quite that bad, but I could have done without all the recapping. I liked what they did with Ganelon. I had suspected something, but I didn't quite see the twist that came (because the one in my head was much more morbid).
26. Title: The Courts of Chaos
Author: Roger Zelazny
Pages: 142
Date Finished: 12.VI.2008
Thoughts: I was happy to finally reach the end of the series - although I think the last few chapters dragged a bit. But that might just be knowing you're so close to the end of this huge storyarc and you just want to see how it ends.
All in all, I enjoyed the series. It read quickly and I love the universe. I don't think any of them can really be read alone though. And, unfortunately I will probably want to game Amber now. :) I do think that the books could have been combined into one, since it seems like one big storyline and I don't really see them as individual stories as much. Seemed more of one story in five parts. But yes, there is Amber love. Now to make
bad_influence read them while I go read cheap pleasurable stuff for summer (i.e., Torchwood novels).
