Booklog 2008: Book 19 of 50
Friday, 28 March 2008 11:57Title:Kushiel's Justice
Author: Jacqueline Carey
Pages: 703
Date Finished: 28.III.2008
Thoughts: I stayed up till 5:40am reading this, and then napped for four hours before finishing it. Addicted? Yes. I dreamed an alternate chapter for it, which I really hope will come to pass in the next book. I had some more difficulty with this once, but that was only in some of the choices Carey made for her fake world that could have been better (and yes, it's related to nationalistic pride and much knowledge of central/eastern european history). But it's her world, not mine, and I still love it. The story moves quickly and it was hard to put down and really, the character of Dorelai quickly became one of my favorites, even though I didn't like her at first. Of course, now I'm impatient for the next book - hardcover comes out in June , but at least the first chapter in line. Perhaps I should have waited till summer to read these... but who am I kidding, they're too enjoyable.
