Books 38-39 of 50
Friday, 21 December 2007 13:37So, I'm not sure I'll reach my goal of 50 this year, but that's defintiely influenced by grad school (of course, i'd be passed 50 if i read every book we were assigned...) - and the intensive summer latin where there's no time to do anything else.
But there's a chance I'll do this again next year. And who knows, maybe I'll read 11 books before the end of the calendar year. Anything is possible.
38. Title: The Golden Compass
Author: Phillip Pullman
Pages: 399
Date Finished: 20 december
Thoughts: ( because they might spoil the movie )
39. Title:The Subtle Knife
Author: Phillip Pullman
Pages:
Date Finished: 21 december
Thoughts:Started this last night and kept refilling the tub with hot water today so I could finish it. had the LotR feel of a hand in every pot and numerous subplots and all. A bit like a Russian novel. I do like the rewriting of scripture and that people aren't always what they seem and the interconnectedness of it all. Can't wait to see how it all wraps up in the end.
