weekly roundup
In shock about theshooting at NIU. Everything else about the day seems unimportant. Luckily, everyone i know there is safe, which is good.
Apart from a few emotional hiccups, my mental/emotional state is much improved. Thanks to people for all the lovin' and concern. I appreciate it, even when all I want to do is blow you off. Still trying to sort things out in my head, but the insanity of this week has prevented that - and prevented depression, so, that's good.
21 yards of pinstripe, 2 spools of thread, 3 yards of velcro, and 0 broken sewing machine needles later - three cassocks are done for the show. i did sew the tip of my thumb when i was trying to do a fancy corner, but it didn't hurt and it's just a little cut, so it was more amusing than anything else.
Bed is put together! This is cause for much rejoicing since the elusive box of bolts was finally found! I find it immensely ironic that the first night I will sleep on the put together bed is valentine's day. At least I have my stuffed animals.
I haven't gone to many classes this week because of costuming and fighting off the cold/flu/bug that's going around the condo. Not good.
bkworm1 was sick tuesday and wednesday,
bad_influence is sick today & I am fightign it off. Because next week is tech week and YEAH. Not so much with the sick allowed. Luckily, it's an easy tech week. 6 hour rehearsal monday, dress on thurs, then shows fri & sat. Doesn't feel like a real techweek. If you're anywhere near the boston area, COME TO THE SHOW! it's really awesome, the soloists are great, the choreography is innovative and it should be fun. (I think runtime is around 90 minutes w/ intermission).
Scratchy throat must go away. That is all.
Parents are coming this weekend and we're headed to CT for the february family birthday bash.
